The Toby Henderson Trust Trustees
Dan Bond (Chair)
Dan has four children over 21 and lives in Morpeth while working around the UK and beyond as a writer and presentation coach. As a member of the local networking group NorthEastBiz that supported the trust in 2014, he wanted to continue working with Lesley and her team. Dan did not have a significant awareness of the needs of autistic children and adults before joining as a trustee but his experience with the trust has lead him to realise the importance of early action and the effectiveness of the trust’s approach.
Fleur has lived in the North East for 16 years having grown up on the South Coast. She is a highly accomplished Registered General Nurse, clinical leader and manager demonstrating considerable success across all sectors of the NHS and the private sector. She has over 20 years’ experience in operational and strategic management. Her personal values are key to her working and personal life and these are very focused on doing the right thing at the right time with clear outcomes. She reinforces this at work with an emphasis on delivery of excellent and safe care to patients. Fleur joined The Toby Henderson Trust as a Trustee in May 2016 and is eager to use her skills to support the further development of TTHT in its determination and desire to provide responsive support for families, carers, children and adults with autism in the North East.
Dr Fiona Gullon-Scott
Fiona moved to Northumberland in 2012 after many years in the South where she worked as an independent autism specialist as well as holding a role as a Senior Research Associate with the Autism Research Centre at Cambridge University. Fiona has worked as a clinical psychologist and academic in the autism field for over 20 years, and maintains both academic links, now with the Tizard Centre at the University of Kent, as well as continuing her independent autism consultancy since her move North. Keen to help support and develop autism services in the North East and to put her knowledge and skills to good use, Fiona joined the team at The Toby Henderson Trust in May 2016. Fiona’s experience covers clinical, research, professional training, and expert witness work across the lifespan and ability level in the autism spectrum.
Dr Morag Maskey
A retired local businessman, Launce was one of the four original members who set up our declaration of trust in March 1999. Launce held the post of Chairman for over 10 years and in that time he was personally responsible for raising a significant amount of the money. In the light of his outstanding contribution to the trust Launce remains on the board as an Honorary Trustee.
James has been a Trustee at The Toby Henderson Trust since January 2014. He is Associate Director at Rocket Science – a research and evaluation consultancy firm and heads up their Newcastle office. His prior experience includes 15 years working in a variety of senior roles at the Big Lottery Fund.
