Summer Garden Party at the Autism Hub

The Autism Hub will be hosting a Summer drop-in Garden party on Tuesday 18th June 10am – 2pm, giving everyone the opportunity to come along to meet the team, learn more about what we do.  Click here for further information.

Makaton Family Workshop

We are offering another free ‘Introduction to Makaton’ Family Workshop on Monday 24th June, 10.00am-12.30pm at the Autism Hub, delivered by Makaton Tutor Anna Melling from Talk to the Hand Makaton Training (limited places available).  

Please note, this is the same session that was delivered in April, but due to the high volume of interest we have decided to run it again.

TTHT ‘Out & About’ in the community

The team at the Hub are  passionate about finding ways to break down barriers and get ‘out and about’ in the community so families can meet us, have a chat and feel comfortable and reassured to come along to access our services at the autism hub.

We are planning a local ‘Walk & Talk’ event on Wednesday 17th July 10m – 11am.   This is a chance for anyone to meet us and join the Autism Hub Team on a relaxed walk and talk along the South Shields Coastline.

Family Fun Day at Toby House

Come and join us all at Toby House in Bedlington on Friday 9th August – 12 – 3pm.  Fun for all the family. 

We will have Inflatables, Gigantic bubble show, face painting, sensory room, Toby’s Magical Garden, pocket money stall, raffle, tombola, baby & toddler soft play, hot food, ice cream van, refreshments, sweet treats and much more.

Managing Fears, Phobias and Anxieties

We are about to launch an innovative new project in partnership with XR Therapeutics in our specially adapted immersive virtual reality therapy room at Toby House in Bedlington.

This short intervention will be led by your autistic child/ young person/ adult to address fears, phobias and anxieties which are impacting on daily life.  Keep an eye on website and social media for further information coming soon.
