The Toby Henderson Trust continues to expand.  Our service is very busy so we are seeking experienced, passionate and skilled help to work with our incredible team.  

We are currently inviting applications for a Community & Events Fundraiser.  Part time – based at Toby House – hours and remuneration to be agreed. CLICK HERE for Person Spec & Job Description.  

Due to continued expansion, we are delighted to announce this newly created opportunity which will play a key role in contributing to future proofing development at The Toby Henderson Trust in terms of both revenue and profile.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a significant impact in connecting people to purpose in our community and events fundraising, through their creativity, collaboration and care, making a real contribution to continued growth across our wonderful organisation.

This role will be focused on increasing and driving charitable income by organizing events and fundraising activities, building volunteer networks (with both individuals and businesses) and arranging sponsored challenges, or any new fundraising initiatives as agreed with our CEO, Lesley Henderson.

We appreciate that many who have chosen to support us so far have felt compelled to do so because our cause has touched them in some way. Offering and expressing our gratitude to those supporters (both old and new) will also play a major part in this role. We believe that building a deep connection is paramount.

Duties will include:

  • Taking the lead on organizing our annual Spectrum Charity Ball (supported by Team Toby colleagues)
  • Taking the lead on our Great North Run entries (including entries in the Mini and Junior GNR)
  • Devising and managing new fundraising events and community initiatives
  • Developing connections and partnerships within the business community across the region
  • Exploring new sponsorship opportunities
  • Being at the forefront of combining fundraising tradition with the impact of today’s social media and technology
